New Year

Like everyone else, I am on the I-don’t-do-new-year-resolutions-kick.  That may change next year.  I don’t know.
What I am going to do…is make 52 changes to my life.  One a week.  I want to hit every aspect of my life in some way.  Some may stick and some may make me ask “What the hell was I thinking?!?!?!”
So!  Here goes!
  1. Put something away whenever I leave a room. (1-8-12)
  2. Cut out sodas
  3. 10 minute meditations every morning (I skip this a lot…)  (1-22-12)
  4. Don’t go to bed with dishes in the sink (this one will be super hard on some nights)
  5. No more canned soups (lots of sodium and processing)  (1-15-12)
  6. Morning yoga routine
  7. No more dropping crap (i.e. mail, bag, keys, etc.) off on the freezer
  8. Cut out refined sugars
  9. Explore photography
  10. Run 25 miles weekly
  11. Empty my Jeep (I call him JP) when I get out
  12. Measure my food (1-1-12)
  13. Take dogs to the park weekly
  14. Wash my face every night
  15. Cut out caffeine (3-4-12)
  16. Get outside daily
  17. Be more patient with my parents
  18. Take hiking back up (I really miss that)
  19. Be more compassionate (I have a problem with sob stories and I shouldn’t judge them to be sob stories)
  20. No more lead foot (2-12-12)
  21. Regular oil changes (sorry JP)
  22. Eat at the table
  23. Go out at least twice a month (we never go out)
  24. No more dumping crap in the new place I found after number 7…
  25. Daily guitar practice (sometimes I go months without dusting it)
  26. Evening yoga faithfully  (2-26-12)
  27. Organize debt
  28. Start snowballing debt for pay offs
  29. Volunteer more (I am a foster parent for the animal shelter but that’s about it…)
  30. Catch a movie…say…once a month (I miss this too) (2-19-12)
  31. Find a quiet corner for mind gathering
  32. Brush dogs more often (I have Great Pyrs…they are really fluffy!)
  33. Improve my skin care routine (as I scratch my dry, flaky leg)
  34. Limit Books-a-Million purchases (it’s an addiction)
  35. Limit TV to an hour a day
  36. Make a friend to do things with…I have busy friends :(  (or my deodorant doesn’t work and no one wants to tell me)
  37. Use my gym membership…for real.
  38. Get plenty of sleep (not at my desk.  That doesn’t count)
  39. Take my vitamins (buy new ones if they have expired)
  40. Regular check ups
  41. Interact with family more (these are the easiest to put off…I know they will be there when I need them)
  42. Complete a project for every one that I add to my list
  43. Log food  (1-29-12)
  44. Blog at least once a week
  45. Skype.  Just so I can be cool too.
  46. Slow down on social media.  (its probably why number 36 made it to the list)
  47. No more overeating.  Willpower.
  48. Finish laundry.  (Last load in the washer is not considered complete in most cultures)  (2-5-12)
  49. Cut back on starchy foods and add more color to my plate
  50. Quit watching Judge Judy.
  51. Find something that makes me feel good about myself since I quit watching Judge Judy
  52. Make new list for 2013.
This was not an easy list to make…just sayin’.

so number 14 is also my WEAKNESS!?! I secretly think you tapped into my mind to create some of the things on your list...just saying!

Are we twins? Because I kind of need to do everything on this list.
